Detlef Maushake

I have been a vol firefireghter since 1986 and a paid firefighter since 1995 serving now in the city of Salzgitter in northern Germany as crew commander of a small fire station. My wildfire expertise ranges back to 1996 when I first visited the Los Angeles Area and got in touch with the handcrews, engines, aircraft and such infecting me with the “wildfire virus” and it has been a major part of my fire life ever since. After serving some time in the at-fire team we founded the Waldbrandteam in 2015. I consider myself a “student of fire” trying to support and mentor others while learning constantly is this dynamic and versatile environment. I had the honor of receiving the IAWF Firebreak Award for Excellence in Wildland Fire Management in 2019 which meant a great deal for me being recognized on such a high international level.

SmokeD Drone

Our wildfire detection system includes a drone that can quickly and effectively detect fires in areas difficult to monitor (forests, plantations).

Why SmokeD smoke and fire detection system?

Constantly improving accuracy

We use AI and advanced machine learning algorithms to continuously improve our system and its accuracy.

Quick detection

SmokeD cameras with sensitive sensors can detect flames and smoke in an average of 10 minutes from as far as 10 miles away.

24/7 monitoring

Our detectors are designed with 24/7 environmental protection in mind and can detect fire hazards day and night.

Cost savings

Four cameras providing coverage of an area within a 10-mile radius and low power consumption offer effective protection against potential losses from fire damage.

24/7 support

In case of any problems with the system, you can count on our help. Our support team is at your disposal 24/7.

Automatic alerts

The sooner a fire is detected, the easier it is to contain. Our system sends out notifications automatically, enabling you to save lives and assets more effectively.
